Scope of Work:
  • BASE BID:
  • One pumping facility, which includes 5 – 4,700 gpm (350 hp) high service vertical turbine pumps, and associated piping, valving, controls, chemical feed equipment, surge tank, with dedicated electrical VFD and switchgear equipment.
  • One building to house the pumping facility with control room, restroom, electrical room, chemical room, maintenance room, complete with HVAC, lighting, security, lightning protection and high performance coating systems.
  • Two units of standby electrical (2,250 kw 480/3 phase) generation equipment with integral enclosures, fuel tanks and access, including associated substation transformers and power wiring to the on-site utility substation.
  • Site roadway lighting and security systems including lighting for reservoirs.
  • Site grading, drainage, landscaping and paving for roadways and parking areas.
  • Underground piping fire protection system.
  • Piping connections into reservoirs.
  • Reservoir mixing and chorine dosing systems (both GSR 1 and GSR 2).
  • ADD ALTERNATE:
  • 3 – 4,700 gpm (350 hp) high service vertical turbine pumps and associated piping, valving, with dedicated wiring, local control station, and VFD equipment.
  • WORK INCLUDED IN BASE BID AND ADD ALTERNATE:
  • Pipe systems hydrostatic pressure testing and disinfection.
  • Installation of all conduit and piping shown in the Contract Documents.
  • Securing a water source for all construction watering, filling of system with potable water, for testing and disinfection, and safe disposal of chlorinated water.
  • Facility startup and load testing of pump equipment and drives. Coordination of testing by Contractor, with manufacturer’s field service.
  • Quality control testing for materials and welding.
  • Cleanup, startup services, and all other miscellaneous work required but not herein mentioned but inferred from the construction Contract Documents.

Bid shall include all the sheets in "yellow" in the Specifications, including the following:

  • Representations, Certifications and Other Statements of Offerors (Form DI-2010) – Part A-E
  • Certificate of Nondiscrimination – Sheet CON-1 – Part G
  • Elimination of Segregated Facilities – Sheet EOSF-1 – Part H
  • List of Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc. (to be submitted within 48 hours after Bid Opening)
  • Bidders Statement of Qualifications
  • Bid Form
  • Bid Security – Either 10% Bid Bond or a certified check, cashiers check or bank draft in the amount of 5% of the total sum of the Bid
